Ralph Stock - MobyGames

Ralph Stock is one of the most experienced veterans in the German computer games industry. He was among the first people in Europe who professionally developed commercially distributed computer games. His first game Der Stein der Weisen (Philosopher’s Stone) for Commodore 64 was released in 1984 by Kingsoft and was one of the commercially most successful games for the C64 in Germany at this time.

In 1988 he started as a game designer / producer at Softgold / Rainbow Arts / Time Warp (the largest German computer games company at this time) and became development director of that company in 1990. During this time Ralph invented the game Mad TV.

In 1992 Ralph founded his own software company Promotion Software. Later in 1998 the development studio Sixteen Tons Entertainment followed. With Sixteen Tons Entertainment he invented the successful Emergency Life Fighters series on PC and console and developed more than 20 games for computer and console platforms.

In 2009 he founded another development studio called Quadriga Games while still maintaining Promotion Software and its development label Sixteen Tons Entertainment.
